Pianist Frank Wiens to appear in two local concerts

Oct 1, 2010

Pianist Frank Wiens of the Conservatory faculty will be featured in two upcoming concerts. Both are a part of his celebration in 2010 of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederic Chopin. In the first he will be the soloist with the St. John's Chamber Orchestra in Stockton in a performance of the Chopin Piano Concerto #1. That concert takes place at St. John's Episcopal Church, at the corner of El Dorado and Miner downtown Stockton, on Sunday, January 24th, at 5:00 P.M. Tickets are available at the door for $15.00 each. More information see Church of Saint John, Stockton. Also as mentioned in the Stockton Record.

The second is an all-Chopin recital as part of the Conservatory's Resident Artist Series. That is on Friday, February 5th, at 7:30 PM in the Faye Spanos Concert Hall. Tickets are available at the Conservatory Box Office the evening of the concert.
