mini-Festival of Experimental Music and Video
Friday, March 26th, 2010
3:00 - 11:00 PM
Conservatory of Music
University of the Pacific
3601 Pacific Avenue, Stockton
In its seventh season SoundImageSound presents work that is created through technology and can only be experienced in a unique performance setting, blending sound and visual image in an experience often described as intermedia. Through video and multi-channel audio, SoundImageSound VII envelopes the audience in unimagined sounds and moving images.
This year, SoundImageSound expands its offerings to include an Installation of long format works in the afternoon and a Late Night Performance at the Lair after the concert. As in previous seasons, SoundImageSound VII presents a selection of new works submitted by artists from around the world who responded to an open call for pieces.
Bill Alves and Betsy Kopmar will be present to discuss their works.
