Apply for a Pacific Fund Grants
Maria Meza BUS '11 received a grant from the Pacific Fund in spring 2009 to attend a MEChA conference "Reclaiming Displaced Herstory" hosted by the University of Oregon in Eugene, which foced on the struggles and successes of Latinas.
Grants can be used for activities such as academic travel, competition fees, research funding, professional conferences, workshop fees, lab equipment and more. Each division and college sets the requirements on grant allocation, eligibility, application procedures and deadlines. Grants are distributed in varying amounts and are a request-for-proposal process. Funds are distributed through the Undergraduate Research Task Force, Student Life Division, and school and college Dean's Offices.
The Eberhardt School's Pacific Fund grant applications have been reviewed and award letters have been distributed. More than $53,000 in grant applications were reviewed and $28,517 was awarded. Based on the projects, more than 60 individuals will be directly impacted through these awards making it the highest to date.
Contact Tod Davis in the Dean's Office for more information on grant allocation, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.
