Victoria Gill  - Chief Executive Officer

Victoria Gill is a fifth-year student at the University of the Pacific currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting as well as a Master of Accounting degree. It is her second semester in the Student Investment Fund where she serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Technology Sector Analyst. Victoria is also the Co-President of Pacific Investment Management Association, the new investment club open to all students. Upon graduation in May of 2017, Victoria will begin her career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a tax associate.

Ben Jamison  - Chief Investment Officer

Ben Jamison is a senior completing a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to the Fund, he also works with Pacific's Integrated Development Group, a student run consulting group for non-profit organizations, is a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and a former nationally ranked competitor on Pacific's Speech and Debate Team. Upon graduation, Ben is excited to pursue a career in technology and business management.

Krisztian Laczkovics - Chief Operations Officer

Krisztian Laczkovics is an MBA student with a concentration in Finance. This is his third semester in the Student Investment Fund, since he had been in the Fund as an undergraduate student as well. Krisztian is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) level 1 candidate, taking the exam in June, 2017. Upon graduation, he would like to pursue a career in banking. Krisztian is currently serving as the Chief Operations Officer and analyst of the Consumer Discretionary Sector.

Danny Zhang - Chief Marketing Office

Jiacheng (Danny) Zhang is currently a senior at University of the Pacific pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance.  Danny is an international student from China. This is his second semester in the Student Investment Fund, and he currently holds the position of Consumer Discretionary Sector analyst. Danny wants to obtain more experience and try to find a financial analyst job in America.

Chris Milani - Executive Administrator

Chris Milani is a junior at University of The Pacific, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is a financial and real-asset trader with a passion for market technology, technical theory, and financial charting. He is in early pursuit of his Chartered Market Technician certification and is working towards a membership with the MTA, Market Technicians Association. In the future, Chris hopes to obtain his CMT, become an official member of the MTA, pursue a CFA, and further his studies of business, trade finance, and wealth management.

Ben Stevenson - Portfolio Manager

Ben Stevenson is a senior, pursuing Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance as well as Applied Economics. He is also a division 1 student athlete playing water polo at Pacific, where he is the team captain. This is Ben's second semester in the fund and is serving as the Portfolio Manager and Consumer Staples Sector analyst.

Dane Solberg - Assistant Portfolio Manager

Dane C. Whitten Solberg is currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. Becoming an entrepreneur at a young age, Dane founded his own construction services business in his home state of Minnesota at the age of 18. Through his journey in business and education at the University of the Pacific, Dane soon discovered his passion for the financial markets and plans on starting a career as a stockbroker following his education. Dane is also an avid hockey and tennis player with a passion for traveling. This is Dane's first semester in the fund, and he is serving as Assistant Portfolio Manager as well as an Industrial Sector Analyst.

Stefanie Toro - Economist

Stefanie Toro is a junior pursuing a Bachelors Science in Economics at University of the Pacific. She currently holds the Economist and Healthcare analyst position in the Student Investment Fund. Stefanie is part of multiple groups on campus, including Integrated Development Group and the Community Involvement Program. Stefanie joined SIF for the purpose of using economic theory and applying it to real world concepts in order to gain hands-on experience. She plans on pursuing an MS degree in Economic Development or MBA in Entrepreneurship.

David Perrizo - Assistant Economist

David Perrizo is currently a senior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with concentration's in Finance and Accounting. This is his second year in the Student Investment Fund, holding the position of Assistant Economist and Financials Sector Analyst. Upon graduation, David intends to pursue obtaining a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential and going into Investment Banking.

Anjul Shingal - Accountant

Anjul Shingal is currently in his last semester of his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and his Masters of Accounting dual degree program. This is Anjul's first semester in the Eberhardt Student Investment Fund as the Accountant and Materials Sector Analyst. After his graduation in May 2017, Anjul will be starting his career at Deloitte as an Audit Associate while also studying to become a CPA.

Oliver Medina - Risk Management Officer

Oliver Medina is currently senior pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Business Law. He is also a member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, where he served as President during the Fall 2016 semester. This is his first semester in the fund where he holds the position of Risk Management Officer and Financial Sector Analyst. Upon graduation, he plans on attending law school to receive a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Martin Pham - Information Officer

Martin Pham is a third-year student pursuing his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Marketing and Management Information Systems. Currently, this is his first semester serving as the Junior Real Estate Investment Trust Sector Analyst for the Student Investment Fund. Last summer, he had an Accounting/Finance internship at a local Sacramento community bank which sparked his interest in financial analysis that eventually encouraged him to take part in the fund.

Robert Bayze - Assistance Marketing

Robert Bayze is a graduate student at the University of the Pacific. He lives in Sacramento where he works for the government, as a private business consultant, and a leader of the union SEIU 1000. Upon completion of this course, Robert will pursue a career as an Investment Officer with a State of California retirement plan.

Shan Shota - Assistance Marketing

Shan Sahota is currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. It is his first semester in the Student Investment Fund. Shan has previously interned at Stifel Nicolaus and intends to pursue a career in Investment Banking upon graduation in May 2018. He plans to obtain his MBA with a concentration in Finance as well.

Daria Labintseva is a senior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a double concentration in International Business and Finance. Daria is an international student from Russia. This is her first semester in the Student Investment Fund; she is holding the position of Energy Sector analyst. For Daria, SIF is a great opportunity to expand her knowledge and gain new experience in the finance field of business.

Cristina Sáenz de Buruaga - Social Media Coordinator

Cristina Sáenz de Buruaga is a senior at the University of the Pacific pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. Cris is also a Division I Student-Athlete competing for the tennis team at Pacific, where she is a captain. This is her first semester in the Student Investment Fund and she is serving as the fund Media Coordinator. She is a candidate for an MBA next year at pacific while helping the tennis team in the coaching side.

Ben Carlston, PhD - Faculty Advisor

Expertise: Empirical Asset Pricing; Financial Economics; Applied Econometrics. Ben Carlston is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Eberhardt School of Business. Dr. Carlston received his Ph.D. in Economics, with an emphasis on Financial Econometrics, from Duke University.

During his time at Duke University, Dr. Carlston taught undergraduate courses in Corporate Finance, Investments, and Intermediate Microeconomics. He is currently engaged in research evaluating the accuracy of several stock price volatility measures that rely on high frequency price data. His other research focuses on better understanding liquidity risk and volatility risk and their link to expected stock returns and macroeconomic variables.
