EDUCATION: B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in MIS, 2005
PAST EXPERIENCES: (leading to current role)
Mary began working for the University as an administrative assistant at the School of Pharmacy. As Mary's technical support skills increased, she was able to move into the pharmacy school's first technical support position and she served as their Computer Resource Coordinator for about 8 years. In 1998, Mary migrated to the Eberhardt School of Business and became the Director of Information Services. When she started, her responsibilities consisted of managing desktops, laptops, servers, printers and networking but the job has grown to include all things digital - mobile devices (cell phones, slates, tablets), digital phones, smart classrooms, photography and video.
On a daily basis, Mary manages the school's computer and multi-media software, hardware and accessories. She enthusiastically supports faculty and staff in using these devices to become more efficient and effective as they serve as teachers and administrators. She also supervises and mentors a team consisting of one full-time staff member and 10-12 student lab assistants and technicians. She works with a faculty committee to plan for staying current with new and emerging technologies in an effort to constantly produce graduates with rich experiences in technology and who are fully prepared to enter the job market.
