Brian Newport is a Supporting Professor of Management and Strategy at the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific campus. Professor Newport teaches courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Organizational Behavior. He is also the founder and principal of the Newport Consulting Group, a consulting firm that specializes in assisting business owners and leaders advance their businesses and teams through strategy and leadership development. His firm has worked with over 350 businesses across all industries over the past 7 years.
Brian is a facilitator, educator and consultant with over two decades of experience working with CEOs and their executive teams. He has worked with hundreds of senior executives in organizations ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to neighborhood retail and restaurant chains, entrepreneurial start-ups to universities and nonprofits.
Prior to joining the Support Faculty at the University of the Pacific, Brian worked at Accenture, Intel Corporation, and Action Coach where he was CEO of his own business coaching firm. He lives in Stockton with his wife, who also an alumni of Pacific, and his own team of four children.
