The Department of Educational Administration and Leadership strives to equip students with an understanding of the dynamic field of education and leadership. Programs provide students with an innovative approach to leadership in the education realm by using theory and practice methods. Students leave with ideas, values, and knowledge to enable them to step into a leadership role and introduce positive change.

The Department of Educational & School Psychology prepares compassionate professional psychologists and mental health professionals who are capable of functioning as reflective practitioners in diverse and challenging environments to promote the mental health, learning, and development of children and families. Graduates from the program step into the workforce culturally competent and equipped to provide leadership in their field.

Our school offers several programs that include both teaching credentialing and service credentialing. Benerd's focus is to guide our students through the process of obtaining not only a degree but also to help them through the credentialing process. The Benerd School of Education is accredited by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
