The Gladys L. Benerd School of Education offers both Master of Arts (MA) in Education Master of Education (MEd) programs. Both degree programs will enable you to become more effective in, and derive greater satisfaction from, your role as an educator, administrator or specialist.

Master of Arts (MA) in Education

The Gladys L. Benerd School of Education at University of the Pacific offers a Master of Arts degree that offers a range of relevant concentrations for practicing educators in a variety of educational settings.  Each concentration is designed to enhance the educator's professional development in a particular focus area.

Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction

Benerd School of Education's Master of Education (MEd) degree is designed for high-potential graduate students who desire to become candidates for an initial teaching credential. This degree prepares teachers to deal with instructional theory and applied research, and to develop competence beyond the skills of the usual beginning teacher. 

Educational Specialist (EdS) in School Psychology 

The EdS in School Psychology prepares professionals for systems interventions as school psychologists, and provides advanced training in applied development with diverse populations and consultation methods. Completion of the Ed.S. (Educational Specialist) in School Psychology degree and credential enables you to practice as a school psychologist in California's public schools.
