About the Degree
This degree program is for undergraduates who continue at the University of the Pacific after the bachelor's degree to complete a preliminary credential and for new graduate students who are beginning a teaching credential program. Our new 12 month masters and single subject credential program offers an ideal option for individuals who want to teach in specific content areas. Placements in diverse local schools and the support of outstanding teacher mentors ensure the excellence of our graduates.
The program includes completion of a Preliminary Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Level One Education Specialist Credential.
Admission Information
Applicants must submit all materials as a completed application to the
Research and Graduate Studies Office at the University of the Pacific.
Admission to this program is a holistic decision, and is based on the following:
- 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on the last 60 units of undergraduate study (on a 4.0 scale)
- The Graduate School application form
- An essay about your goals and reasons for applying for the program
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- Official transcript(s)
