Thesis and Dissertations

Many master's degree programs and all doctoral programs in the Graduate School require the completion of a thesis (master's) or dissertation (doctoral).

The Office of Research and Graduate Studies makes available to faculty and graduate degree candidates, instructions for the preparation of thesis and dissertations to conform to University-wide guidelines and discipline-specific requirements. All theses and dissertations submitted at the University of the Pacific as partial fulfillment of an advanced degree are subject to these University-wide guidelines.

The Thesis & Dissertation Guide and most forms needed for the final phases of the graduate degree, including thesis submission forms, application for graduation, and final report of the oral examination are located on the Graduate School Forms page.

Forms for the "first submission" of thesis and dissertations are obtained from the Graduate School office after a verification of completion of the necessary steps to that point has been made.
