Discover Engineering Physics

The Engineering Physics Program is a four-year program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET and includes up to 7 months of paid internship.  Each student has a dedicated faculty advisor to assist in developing a personalized curriculum plan based on interests and skills.  Student's plans can include undergraduate research, minors, and international opportunities. 

The Engineering Physics curriculum combines depth in both mathematics and physics beyond other engineering majors.  The Engineering course build a strong foundation The program has Students work with their faculty advisors, students can personalize their study plans to meet particular interests and to gain depth.  All Engineering Physics students complete a Senior Design Project, which provides an opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals and design methods to the solution of a real problem.  Example projects include: a balancing robot, solar powered boat, Wireless Audio Amplifier, Three foot tall tour guide robot, a magnetic levitation system and remote power wind station.

CO-OP Program
As part of the Engineering Physics Program, students complete a seven month, paid cooperative education experience working in industry. Engineering Physics students work with companies such as Cisco Systems, Aisin Electronics, Verizon Wireless and Intel to name a few. Check out the list of recent co-op employers.
