     Transfer Application Steps

General Education Requirements

All entering students who have completed fewer than 28 units of transferable college level work must complete the following:

     Pacific Seminars

Pacific Seminar 1
Pacific Seminar 2
Pacific Seminar 3

     Breadth Program

You must complete the School's General Education Breadth Program.  Consult the university catalog for the official list of courses in the breadth program.

     Fundamental skills

Students are required to satisfy all the University Fundamental Skills Requirements (i.e., Writing, Mathematics, and Reading) prior to enrolling in any upper-division engineering or computer science courses.

The School of Engineering and Computer Science will accept the transfer general education program from any community college.  Students entering with more than 28 transferable college level work must take Pacific Seminar 3 during their senior year.  Students must take a 3-unit course in engineering and computing ethics (ENGR 30).

Students planning on transferring to Pacific's School of Engineering and Computer Science can save time by taking one course from each of the areas in the breadth program.  Consult the University Catalog for the official list of courses.

Community college students can transfer to the School of Engineering and Computer Science at any point in their academic program.  It is important that each student contact the appropriate Department at Pacific as early as possible and arrange for faculty assistance in planning his or her transfer.

For personal advising, contact: Dr. Gary Martin, Assistant Dean,  209-946-3064 or  Gary Martin.
