Hunter Tanous '11
Hunter graduated from the School of International Studies in 2011 with a major in International Relations and Global Studies. While at SIS he studied abroad in Amman, Jordan with a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, as well as Damascus, Syria. He participated in Model United Nations, ASuop student government, was co-founder of the Pacific Chapter of a Foreign Service Fraternity, Delta Phi Epsilon, and was President of the Council of University Social Entrepreneurs. He had the honor of introducing former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, during the 2011 Gerber Lecture presented by SIS. As a graduating Senior, he received the Faith-Davies Outstanding Student Leader of the Year Award as well as an Ambassador Corps Fellowship for Nairobi, Kenya.
After graduating, Hunter spent six months as an Ambassador Corps Fellow working for a social enterprise in Kenya. He was the Franchise Development Coordinator for Backpack Farm Kenya. Hunter completed a Master's Degree in Management at the Vlerick Business School in Leuven, Belgium and is now working as the Business Development Manager for Streetwize in Brussels.
