Welcome from the Department Chair
On behalf of the Department of Physical Therapy, and as the most recent past chair of the Department, I am pleased to announce the appointment of our new Department Chair, Dr. Christine R. Wilson. Dr. Wilson joined Pacific in 2003 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. She earned tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. Dr. Wilson holds her PhD. in Physiology from McGill University, a Master's in Motor Learning from Columbia University, and her BS in Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate.
Her experience in physical therapist education is extensive. Before coming to Pacific eight years ago, she served as an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Northeastern University for six years after having served for four years as an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn.
I am very excited for our Department and for Dr. Wilson. Her vision, energy, experience, and personality combine to give me great confidence in her ability to lead us into the future. I look forward to returning from my sabbatical in August of 2012 and contributing to the success of our students and our Department as a faculty member with Dr. Wilson continuing in her new role as Department Chair.
