Robert Hanyak, AuD, received his bachelor of arts in communicative disorder from University of the Pacific, his master of science in audiology from University of Utah, and his doctor of audiology from University of Florida. Dr. Hanyak first came to Pacific in 1985 as Assistant Professor of Audiology and currently serves as chair of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology.
Dr. Hanyak has received Honors recognition from the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He has served as a leader on a number of univerisity and community committees.
When asked about what he enjoys most about teaching he says: "motivating and helping students achieve their career goals. "
Dr. Hanyak also enjoys hiking, traveling, and doing community outreach.
