IPS Application Deadlines & Late Fees
Semester or Full Year Only
Since you are applying to study abroad as a Pacific student, you will need to meet the appropriate IPS (International Programs & Services) application deadline, which varies, as it is dependent upon your program's application deadline.
Application Requirements:
- All applications must be submitted in hard copy. Do NOT complete any online applications without first consulting the Ed Abroad Advisor.
- Applications must be complete. Incomplete applications turned in too close to the deadline will cause you to miss the deadline and therefore incur substantial late fees. It is a good idea to meet with the Ed Abroad Advisor at least 3-4 weeks before your IPS application deadline to make sure your application is complete.
- Complete applications are your responsibility. If you have application materials, such as letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc. sent to the Ed Abroad Advisor on your behalf, you are responsible for making sure these materials are received by the appropriate IPS deadline. With this in mind, we recommend you collect all application materials beforehand and submit them all at once during your meeting with the Ed Abroad Advisor.
- All applications must be submitted to IPS by 5:00pm on the day of the appropriate IPS deadline.
Deadlines vary by program. It is your responsibility to determine the IPS deadline appropriate for the program(s) to which you are applying.
1. Main Deadline (for all programs that do not meet one of the Exceptions):
- March 1st (Fall or Full Academic year abroad)
- October 1st (Spring or Full Calendar year abroad)
2. Exceptions to Main Deadline:
A. Programs with a deadline prior to, or on the same day as, the Main Deadline:
-
Application due 10 business days prior to the program's deadline (For example, if your program's application deadline for fall is March 1st, your application is due by 5pm, 10 business days prior to March 1st)
B. ISEP Programs (Most ISEP programs):
- Application due January 15th (Fall or Full Academic year abroad)
- Application due August 15th (Spring or Full Calendar year abroad)
C. ISEP Programs with a deadline prior to, or on the same day as, the deadline for Most ISEP programs:
- Application due 10 business days prior to the program's deadline (For example, if your program's application deadline for spring is August 1st, your application is due by 5pm, 10 business days prior to August 1st)
Late Fees
Incomplete applications, if not completed before the appropriate IPS deadline, are considered late. Each business day your application is late, a substantial late fee will be incurred. The business day ends at 5:00pm.
One Business Day late = $100
Two Business Days late = $150
Three Business Days late = $200
Four Business Days late = $250
Five Business Days late = $300
Late fees should be paid online and a receipt of payment submitted to IPS along with your completed application. Click here to pay the late fee. The number of days late your complete application is submitted is the number to be entered in the Quantity box.
