Meet the Staff

Ryan Griffith

Senior International Officer

Ryan Griffith has worked in international education since 1997.  During his career, he has overseen international student recruitment and admissions; international student and scholar services; intensive English programming; satellite international campuses; and, taught courses in Asian Studies, International Relations Theory, and English as a Second Language. He earned a BA in International Relations from University of Southern California and an MA in International Relations and Asian Politics from University of Queensland, Australia.

Lauren Miller

Assistant Director, International Programs and Services

As Assistant Director, Lauren Miller recruits education abroad participants; develops school, college, and faculty-specific education abroad opportunities; maintains international partnerships; and serves as an immigration official. She also volunteers as a member leader of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, as a member of both the Consular Affairs Liaison (CAL) Subcommittee and the Education Abroad Regulatory Practice Committee.

Lauren earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Toledo, studied at Spain's La Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, and earned an MA in International Training and Education from American University, during which she completed an internship at Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea. Lauren is thoroughly enjoying her first time living in California and loves to explore the outdoors.

Carmen Huntar

International Student and Scholar Advisor

Carmen Huntar developed and directed the Educational Services Counseling Center at the United States Embassy in Nigeria where she worked for 15 years. She successfully recruited foreign students and scholars and developed programs to ensure their retention and graduation from institutions in the United States. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley and studied at New York's Columbia University as part of her U.S.-based training for International Advisors sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

As an International Student and Scholar Advisor, Carmen is responsible for advising international students and scholars on immigration issues as well as maintaining immigration records.

Patrick Wolak

International Student and Scholar Advisor

Patrick Wolak has worked with international students for over 9 years. After receiving his B.A. from Clemson University, he spent four years teaching EFL as a Peace Corps Volunteer in both Mauritania and China. He has worked at Pacific since 2014, after spending three years in the Bay Area as a teacher and international student support specialist.

Patrick can assist with international student and scholar visa issues, questions, etc.
