Life_in_TrenchesJuly 28, 2014 marked the centennial anniversary of the outbreak of one of the most brutal conflicts of the twentieth century, the First World War. This conflict forever changed the nature of modern warfare as machine guns, airplanes, tanks, and mustard gas made their battlefield debuts with devastating results. Through a series of films, lectures, and eyewitness accounts this course will offer you a front-line glimpse of the horrors of ‘The War to End All Wars' and also its terrible cost.
