Recommended Transfer Coursework: Political Science
The following courses will serve as a guide for students wishing to transfer to the University of Pacific in Political Science.
An introductory level course in International Relations
An introductory level course in U.S. Government and Politics
An introductory level course in Macroeconomics
It is critical that political science majors demonstrate the fundamental skills of reading, writing, and math required in Pacific's general education program. Reading is an especially important fundamental skill for success in most political science courses. Also, success in political science is usually enhanced when a student is familiar with basic concepts and approaches in other social sciences. Some familiarity with Sociology, History, Geography, and related fields would better prepare a student for success in political science.
