Group Visit FAQ

What does a typical visit include?
A typical group visit includes a student led campus tour (1 hour) and an admission presentation (1 hour), given by an admission counselor.

What will my students see on a tour?
A tour will cover the main campus and give the students an opportunity to see our student center, academic buildings, and the outside of residence halls. As tours are student led, they are an excellent opportunity to get a student perspective on life at Pacific.

Can my students have lunch on campus?
On most school days, groups may make arrangements to eat lunch in the dining hall. Lunch is approximately $8.00 per person but items in the dining hall are individually priced and the cost of lunch will vary depending on what students choose to eat. Arrangements must be made with the Admission Office at least two weeks in advance of your visit. School groups are able to eat lunch at either 11 a.m. or 1:00 p.m on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. Currently, we are unable to accommodate groups in the dining hall during the noon hour or on Tuesday or Thursday.

How much time do I need to allow for arrival and parking on campus?
Please plan to arrive on campus at least 30 minutes before your scheduled visit start time. This will allow time for parking and locating the Admission Office, as well as give your students time to visit the restrooms before beginning their visit.

What if I am running late?
If you are running late, please call our office at 209-946-2211 to let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you for what we can when you arrive, but please keep in mind that tour guides are scheduled for one hour blocks of time and their schedules are not always flexible due to classes. Allowing yourself extra time for traffic, arrival, and parking will ensure that your students are able to enjoy everything that is planned for them.
Please note that we are unable to give tours to groups that arrive more than fifteen minutes late.

Can my group visit a class?
Unfortunately, due to the small size of our classes, we are unable to offer groups the opportunity to sit in on a class. Students, however, are welcome to return to visit individually and schedule a visit to a class.

When can my group visit campus?
We are able to accommodate group visits on most weekdays throughout the school year. However, as we receive numerous requests, availability may vary depending on the volume of requests we have received. Weekend group visits are not available.

How far in advance should I schedule my group visit?
To allow us time to plan for you, please schedule your visit at least three weeks in advance. However, the earlier a visit request is made, the more likely it is that we will be able to accommodate you on the date you request.

Are campus tours available for younger students?
Guided group tours are available for school groups beginning in 6^th grade. Groups who wish to visit with younger students are welcome to take a self-guided tour.

Where should we park our bus?
Buses should be parked in the Stadium lot off of Pershing Avenue and do not require a parking permit.

Groups arriving in only one bus may first unload students in the white loading/unloading zone located between Burns Tower and the Conservatory of Music.

Due to the large number of visitors to campus, we ask that groups arriving in multiple buses unload passengers in the Stadium Lot. Additionally, we ask that groups be mindful of others and not block intersections while unloading passengers. Buses that park blocking an intersection will be asked to move.

Can my group make arrangement to stay overnight?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate school groups on campus overnight.
