The mission of the Career Resource Center is to engage students, alumni and employers in a collaborative career development process in order to facilitate achievement of their professional goals and meaningful contributions to their communities. The Career Resource Center offers individual career counseling to Pacific students and alumni. Current students can choose academic career courses such as Co-Op 088 "Career Exploration and Planning" and Co-Op 188 "Career Search Essentials" to better explore and plan career oppurtunities.

We believe that close contact with a faculty advisor plays a key role in helping new students to establish a solid start to their college careers. Each incoming student in the College is assigned a faculty advisor with whom to discuss course selection, degree requirements, and college and post-college planning. In addition, peer student advisors are assigned to freshmen to serve as part of their support team.

The goal of Writing in the Disciplines is to assist faculty and students at Pacific in the improvement of student writing within their majors and individual disciplines and to encourage more active, engaged learning through writing intensive courses, the use of innovative teaching methods in writing instruction, and tutorial support from the Student Writing Center for all levels of writing, from the Pacific Seminars to Senior Capstone Courses.

Career Fairs

Career and Internship fair happens each spring bringing employers from industry, government, education and non-profit organizations to campus.  Employer representatives interact with students, providing information about their internship and employment opportunities, while students are able to network and share their resumes directly with employers.
