PRIDE Center Objectives
The PRIDE Center supports members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer community, friends, and family. The objectives of the PRIDE Resource Center are:
- To provide a designated Safe Zone for affiliated individuals
- To inform students, staff, faculty and community members about affiliated issues
- To create opportunities and facilities that offer peer and professional support
- To impart a wide variety of resource materials and information
- To promote a respectful campus population
- To coordinate educational programs that fully address the needs and concerns of affiliated individuals, as well as those of their family and friends
- To support a campus environment that is free from prejudice, harassment and violence towards affiliated individuals and their straight allies.
