Social Justice

Pacific offers many opportunities for you to celebrate and explore your faith and to learn about and experience the faith traditions of others. The Chaplain's Office, in Morris Chapel, coordinates the activities of the Interfaith Council and works with the many student religious organizations on campus, including the Muslim Student Association, Hillel, Pacific Christian Fellowship, Newman Catholic Community and others.

The Social Justice Community is also a key part of chapel activities and hosts the annual Social Justice Art Show. With the Coalition for Peace and Justice, Pride, Pacific Feminists, Students for Environmental Action, and many others, SJC hosts events throughout the year to discuss and respond to important issues on campus and around the world.

The University Multifaith Chaplain is available to students for conversation and support during times of crisis or as they sort through the questions of faith and campus life. The Chaplain is also available to lead programs or presentations on a range of issues, including women in religion, peace and justice issues, and multicultural dialogue.
