 "Meet Your Future" Mock Interview Event and Employer Panel Presentations

On February 2 - 4 and February 9-11, 2010, the Career Resource Center will be providing an opportunity for Pacific students to practice their interviewing skills with a group of employers from a variety of industries during the "Meet Your Future" Mock Interview Event. More than 35 different employers are scheduled to conduct mock interviews using general interview questions that would be appropriate for all industries and majors.

As part of "Meet Your Future", the Career Resource Center will also be hosting two panel presentations:

The first one is on Wednesday, February 3rd, 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the DeRosa University Center and is titled, "We're Not Who You Think We Are". A panel of employers will talk about their organizations and the career opportunities available that "soon-to-be grads" often "write off" due to stereotypes about their industry. Students will learn about potential careers that they might be missing out on due to misinformation.

The second one is on Wednesday, February 10th, 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the DeRosa University Center and is titled, "Online Social Networks -OMG! Use Them to Advance Your Career!" Employer panelists discuss how they use Online Social Networks such as LinkedIn and Twitter for their recruiting purposes and how students can use them to improve their visibility and get leads that can help with their job search.
