Crowd Control For Large Events
Crowd control is the most labor-intensive aspect in police response. It is important when planning events that crowd control strategies are developed to prevent injury or damage. If security has been planned well, and if all the volunteers are familiar with your procedures, you should be able to respond to trouble and restore order before having to end the event and send everyone home. The City of Stockton Police Department should be notified prior to a major event off campus, especially if there will be 100 guests or more. There may be a requirement for City Permits.
