Appeals Committe Summary
To appeal proposed sanctions, you must submit a written statement to the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards within three days of receiving the final decision of the judicial hearing. You may appeal sanctions on the following grounds:
- The sanction is grossly disproportionate to the offense.
- The procedures in this Code were not followed, resulting in prejudice to the student.
- New relevant evidence is available that could not be produced at the time of the student conduct hearing, despite the exercise of reasonable diligence.
- The decision is not supported by a preponderance of evidence.
