  1. Are parents/family required to attend Orientation?

Parents and family members are highly encouraged to attend orientation; however, it is not a requirement. TOP

  2. How do parents or family register for Orientation?

Students can log back into InsidePacific (where your student confirmed enrollment) and add family members to their confirmation/registration. You can also visit our Family Orientation page to find a paper confirmation/registration form that can be mailed to our office. Parents and family must attend the same Orientation session as their student. Fees are $170 per person for Freshman Orientations sessions 1, 2, & 3 and $100 per person for Transfer Orientation. TOP

  3. What does Family Orientation include?

The Family Orientation fee includes meals, orientation materials, programming and administrative fees for the 2-day program. If a family member wishes to stay on campus during June Sessions 1 or 2, there is a fee of $50 per person, otherwise parents/families are responsible for providing their own accommodations. Click here for a list of hotels near campus. 4. Can I register a family member for Orientation on site?

Yes, but we do ask that you register as far ahead of time as possible. If you are planning on staying on campus during a June session, your housing request must be received by June 10, 2017. Paper registration forms for parent/family orientation are due by June 10, 2017 for June Orientation sessions, and August 6, 2017 for the August session.  TOP

  5. What should I bring to Orientation?

Suggested items to bring to Orientation include, but are not limited to: comfortable clothes and shoes (layers are always a good choice), sweater or light jacket and valid driver's license or other photo ID. If you plan to stay on campus, Pacific will provide all linens (sheets, blanket, pillow and towels), however you may bring your own items if you prefer. TOP

  6. Can children attend Orientation?

We ask that family members be at least 15 years of age to participate. If any individuals are under the age of 15 and wish to attend, please call the Office of New Student & Family Programs at (209) 946-7619 or email orientation@pacific.edu for approval. TOP
