Saturday Partners in Education (PIE)
Saturday Partners in Education is designed to bring children to the University of the Pacific and give them a glimpse into college life. While interacting with university students on campus, kids will participate in a variety of games, activities, and learning experiences that make college a real possibility.
PIE Quick Facts: Forms are available at the CCI or you can download and complete our Saturday PIE Registration Form. The program is for youth ages 6-12 years. The cost is $10 per child, which is non-refundable. Please contact us at 209-946-2444 if you need financial assistance. Program runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the University of the Pacific campus. Lunch is included. Drop-off begins at 9:30am and pick-up is at 3:00 at Burns Tower.
Advance registration is required as groups are limited in size. Your reservation cannot be guaranteed until your payment is made . Please make checks payable to the Center for Community Involvement.
A typical Saturday PIE Includes:
- A theme (examples include "It's Showtime!", "Let's Build Something Together", and "Harvest Celebration") Creative and interactive icebreaker activities
- A main educational component (examples include Producing and Acting with the Theater Department and Building Experiments with the Engineering Department)
- Lunch at the DeRosa University Center Marketplace
- Action components with Baun Fitness Center Student Staff
- Arts and Crafts Projects
