The Application Process

You will need the following to apply:

- A color picture of yourself
- Two letters of recommendation
- A resume, including performance experience
- An official copy of your high school transcript
- A personal statement describing your personal musical and career interests and objectives
- Audio or Video selections to be uploaded according to criteria below:

A recorded audition to be uploaded online in which each track time should not exceed 6 minutes and total submission should not exceed 30 minutes and must include the following:

1. A medium-tempo blues
2. An up-tempo rhythm changes tune
3. A Latin, rock, or funk tune
4. A ballad
5. Any tune composed by Dave Brubeck

The Audition Process

You will be contacted if you are choosen as a finalist.  Finalists will participate in a two to three-day orientation process culminating in a live audition at Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland, CA on March 20, 2012.
