The emotional dimension of wellness emphasizes an awareness and acceptance of one's feelings. Emotional wellness includes the degree to which one feels positive and enthusiastic about oneself and life. It includes the capacity to manage one's feelings and related behaviors including the ability to cope effectively with stress. The emotionally well person maintains satisfying relationships with others.
Counseling Services at the University of the Pacific provides assistance to students who are encountering depression, anxiety, adjustment problems and/or who are experiencing emotional distress. Our therapists are trained to aid students in building self-confidence, making healthy choices, choosing assertive communication, relating to others, developing/solidifying identity, and working with more serious mental health concerns.
The Pacific PRIDE Resource Center provides resources for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGTBQIA) community, friends, and family at Pacific. The PRIDE Resource Center welcomes a diverse population of ethnic, religious, political and cultural values while promoting understanding and acceptance for those marginalized as a result of sexual/gender orientation. Women's Resource Center
Located inside the Multicultural Center on the ground level of the McCaffrey Center. The purpose of the center is to promote awareness of women's and gender issues and celebrate and cultivate women's leadership on campus and beyond. The Women's Resource Center is used for meetings and events, and serves as a resource for gender equality and campus violence prevention.
Baun Fitness Center
The Baun Fitness Center (BFC) is the flagship facility for Pacific Recreation's innovative programs and services that include RecSports, Sport Clubs, TigerX classes, Tiger Training, and Tiger Escapes.
One Word Project
The Pacific One Word Project began in the fall of 2008 as an innovative idea to provide first year students a common point of personal reflection that would help them express their level of self awareness and connect to future aspirations.

The Pacific community is made up of students, faculty and staff who live and work together. Living in Pacific's residential campus community, students will find their pursuit of knowledge enhanced, their range of cultural and social opportunities expanded, and that they will learn not just from each other, but about themselves. In the residence halls, lifelong friendships take root, and the experience can engender a whole new definition of "family" and "home."
Morris Chapel serves as the religious center for all of Pacific's students. While the chapel has its foundations in the Methodist church, it now serves as a non-denominational church, welcoming students of all faiths.
