A list of unethical or illegal behavior might include:

  • Theft or misuse of University resources
  • Inappropriate gifts, gratuities or kickbacks
  • Questionable financial accounting or reporting
  • Violations of laws, regulations or University policy
  • Violations of contractual or grant obligations
  • Improper use of confidential information
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • University of the Pacific takes the issue of ethics and compliance with laws, regulations and University policy very seriously.

The Fraud Hotline was put into place as an additional means of ensuring that suspected fraud and other unethical or illegal business behavior are brought to the attention of appropriate University officials so it can be investigated and, when verified, appropriate action can be taken.

Customary resolution methods, such as talking to your supervisor or administrator, referring the matter to the head of your organization (e.g., chair, dean, director or divisional head) or reporting an issue to a central University department such as Human Resources, Controller or Internal Audit are still important first-line approaches for reporting questionable activities. However, the Fraud Hotline is available whenever conventional channels are not successful in addressing an issue or when anonymity is desired.

The University does not tolerate any retaliatory actions against any person for making a good faith report about potential misconduct.

Do not use this site to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property.

If you require emergency assistance, please call 911 or Department of Public Safety.
