Mendy Slaton '09

Mendy Slaton Mendy is the Market Development Strategist for GitHub, the world's leading software development platform.

Mendy studied at Pacific between 2005-2009 where she double majored in International Relations and Global Studies and Spanish. She was the Pacific Softball Manager and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain during her junior year. Upon graduation, Mendy did an internship with the Fundación Paraguaya in Asunción, Paraguay, working for former Pacific alum Martín Burt. Mendy spent the next 5 years living in Spain, Ireland, and San Francisco where she currently resides. Mendy currently works for one of the Silicon Valley's technology unicorns, GitHub. GitHub is the platform where the world is building software.  It's the home to Open Source software and is the largest host of code in the entire world with the biggest community of developers. Mendy runs the Executive Briefing Center for GitHub where she is speaking with and advising CEO's and CIO's of the Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies, government agencies and universities across the globe on how to build better software, together.
