State Authorization

University of the Pacific is a private, not-for-profit institution with three campuses-Stockton, San Francisco, and Sacramento. University of the Pacific is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the WASC Senior College and University Commission.

The University of the Pacific, through University College, is in the process of taking steps to protect its students and operations through compliance: obtaining authorization, approval, exemptions and waivers; or confirming that the University of the Pacific can operate without such authorization because the state's laws do not pertain to our institutional profile or to the University of the Pacific's activities in that state. For students who reside outside of California and are interested in an online or distance-education program with the University of the Pacific, we have provided information below to assist with questions regarding our approval status in their home state.
