    Enrollment Confirmation Deposit

    To accept the offer of admission and reserve a seat in the entering class, accepted students must submit the first non-refundable Enrollment Confirmation Deposit of $500 within two weeks of the date on their approval letter. A second deposit of $500 is due on or before March 1, 2018.  (Students admitted after February 15th are required to pay a $1,000 deposit within two weeks of the date on their approval letter. ) Missing either deadline may prevent admitted students from enrolling. The deposit is applied toward  orientation and first semester tuition fees.

    Sending Official Transcripts From Each School Attended

    Send to: University of the Pacific, Office of Admission- Pharmacy Processing, 3601 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95211.

    • Pacific requires an official transcript by July 1, 2018  from each school you attended.  If you are attending summer 2018 classes, you will need to arrange for a transcript for summer coursework to be sent as soon as available, but no later than August 15, 2018. 
    • If you are using credit by exam (AP, IB, CLEP) to fulfill a pre-requisite, you need to have official scores sent by July 1, 2018.
    • If you are using high school credit to fulfill calculus or physics, you must have an official high school transcript sent by July 1, 2018.

    Notify the Office of Admission of ANY changes made to your academic schedule by using the electronic form found on our website here:   Current or planned courses form. (Use Edge, Chrome, or Firefox only).

     

    Background Information 

    • Many healthcare facilities require background checks to enhance the safety and well-being of patients. 
    • In order to assure you can be placed in a healthcare facility; your admission is contingent upon giving consent for the background investigation to be performed.  Shortly after your admission offer, you will receive an email from studentedition@certiphi.com with the subject line "Background Check Consent Request." 
    • Please add studentedition@certiphi.com to your address book to insure you receive it. Reports will be reviewed during the summer and all offers of admission are contingent upon passing.  
    • If you were admitted to another institution prior to Pacific, and gave Certiphi permission to run the report, we will automatically have access to your results.
    • Make sure Certiphi has completed your background screening.  Pacific will post the date to your online checklist when we have reviewed your report. We review reports through the summer and will contact you if we need additional information.

    Intern Licensure

    • Admitted students are required to carefully read the 'Intern Pharmacist Application Instructions'. If any of the questions asked in the application requiring a mandatory answer are a cause for concern, you must directly contact the CA State Board of Pharmacy for guidance. Students are expected to meet the requirements for intern licensure during the first semester of the curriculum. You should complete the intern license application and bring it to orientation with you in August. Please wait for instructions to be sent from the Office of Professional Programs in June/July.

    Financial Aid

    Look for your financial aid award to be e-mailed to you from the Office of Financial Aid beginning in February.

    • FAFSA:  Please be sure to complete your FAFSA form! There is no deadline but January 15, 2018 is the priority filing date: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

    Scholarship Information: New entering students are automatically considered for any scholarships for which they meet the minimum eligiblity. You will be notified if you are selected.

    Social Security Number

    • In order to apply for your intern license, you will be required to have a social security number.  If you do not have one, please begin the process to obtain this number so that you will be eligible for your license.  Students are expected to have their pharmacy internship paperwork completed before they arrive on campus.

    Campus Housing

    • Please know that housing does not guarantee a space for professional pharmacy students.  Please complete the form included in your approval packet and return to the housing office as soon as you make your confirmation deposit.  AN ADDITIONAL HOUSING DEPOSIT IS NOT REQUIRED. If a space opens, you will be notified in late spring/early summer.

    Immunizations 

    Registration

    • On-line registration will be in June, 2018.  Please complete your course registration within the time period sent to you in order to hold your place in this entering class.  Instructions and information will be sent by the School's Office of Academic Affairs at least two weeks prior to the opening of registration.

     New Student Orientation:

    • Orientation is a required three day event held in late August prior to the first day of class. Dates for three-day Mandatory Orientation: August 22, 23, and 24, 2018.
