PacWell - 8 Dimensions of Wellness

Whole-person wellness involves multiple dimensions:emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual. Pacific's PacWell Program addresses them all by providing resources, information, events and activities that promote campus wellness.

CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services)

Counseling and Psychological Services is located in the Cowell Wellness Center, across the footbridge from the main campus.

Counseling and Psychological Services is staffed by therapists who are trained to aid students in building self-confidence, making healthy choices, choosing assertive communication, relating to others, reducing stress, solving problems, and developing/solidifying identity. In addition, Counseling Services offers psychiatric medication management, crisis consultation, and outreach programming. They offer counseling to victims of sexual assault and other crimes, click here for more information.

New After Hours Counseling Support!
Pacific now has an after hours counseling hotline where you can receive support for urgent emotional issues that come up when the Counseling Services office is closed. Just call the main counseling number, 209.946.2315, and press the menu option to speak with a counselor.

Student-to-Student (S2S) Healthy Relationships Peer Education

This new program was launched in 2011 with funding from the Avon Foundation and m.powerment by Mark. Pacific's Women's Resource Center was one of only 20 nation-wide to receive the m.powerment grant in support of its efforts to break the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence on campus. S2S peer educators receive training to develop and deliver workshops, discussions and other activities that promote healthy relationships. Thanks to generous funding from the Verizon Foundation, S2S will continue to raise awareness about domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking on campus! Check out the S2S page!
