Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
The Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences prepares
students for lifelong success in health careers by developing leadership
skills and a strong commitment to their professions and to society. In
addition to outstanding professional and graduate instruction, the School
supports faculty research and clinics that provide patient care and hands
on opportunities for students in collaboration with faculty. The School has
also developed joint degree and research programs in cooperation with
several other professional schools at the University, as well as the liberal
arts and sciences.
The success of the School is demonstrated by its alumni, students,
and faculty, many of whom serve in leadership positions in professional
associations, in research, and in practice settings. Its highly successful
and respected accelerated PharmD program is a model for other pharmacy
schools throughout the country. The School’s Ph.D. program in
Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences prepares students for careers
in drug research and development. The Physical Therapy and Speech
Language Pathology programs produce talented practitioners who meet
patient needs in communities throughout the state and the nation.
