About Pacific Presents Events

Pacific Presents are public, high-profile lectures and performances that are likely to draw the attendance of community members. Examples of such events in the past have included lectures by major public figures, outstanding theatrical or musical performances, and premier art exhibitions. Generally, these types of events can be expected to draw more than 100 attendees.

The Stockton E vents Calendar also features a consolidated listing of public-oriented Stockton campus events. By advertising workshops, cultural events, and other activities, the calendar serves to facilitate communication with the Stockton area community, provide a comprehensive, single location for information about University events for the public and campus community, and to support the University's educational mission.

Events That May be Posted

Events include public lectures, workshops, films, gallery showings, art workshops, student life, meetings, plays, training programs, community service projects, athletic events, and social events. They may include on-campus events or selected off-campus events sponsored by a University of Pacific group.

These events must be open to the general public.

Balance of Events Sought

We strive to include a balance of theatre, music, film, and art shows, as well as lectures that cover a range of topics from the sciences to international topics. For example, if more than five musical events are included on the Pacific Presents calendar, we are unlikely to add another musical event unless the performer is very high profile and well-known to the general public.

When Must Events Be Submitted for Print

The print edition is printed twice yearly. Pacific Presents print deadlines:

  • Fall semester: August 1
  • Spring semester: December 1.

Not all events submitted can be included, even if they meet all of these guidelines. Marketing and University Relations reserves final judgment as to which events will be included in either the print or online edition of Pacific Presents. A maximum of 12 events each semester can be included in the print edition of Pacific Presents.

Submitting Events for Pacific Presents

Additional events scheduled after August 1 or December 1 may be considered for inclusion in the online edition of Pacific Presents. Events posted online must meet these same guidelines. To avoid diluting attention to your event, we will accept up to a maximum of 18 events for the online edition during a semester.

To submit an event for consideration as part of Pacific Presents, complete the online form.
