Pacific News(Jan. 29 - Stockton, Calif.) – A new Web site for University of the Pacific will be launched Jan. 31. The new site brings similar content together, allowing visitors to more quickly find information and easily navigate the site. (Jan. 29 - Stockton, Calif.) -- University of the Pacific and the Stockton Symphony will honor the legacy of Stockton Symphony founder Manlio Silva and his family Saturday, Feb. 3 in celebration of the symphony’s 80th anniversary. Silva was a pharmacist by trade and simultaneously organized, conducted and managed the orchestra until he passed away in 1958. (Jan. 24 - Stockton, Calif.) - The Pacific Poetry Series 2007 will feature contemporary poets David Keplinger, Martha Collins and Marilyn Chin, all published authors who are highly praised for their work. (Jan. 18 - Stockton, Calif.) – University of the Pacific and 17 other universities were selected by The Association for American Colleges and Universities to decide how to make values, ethics, and civic responsibility integral to educational goals across the country. (Jan. 18 - Stockton, Calif.) -- Professors from across the country will give hour-long lectures at University of the Pacific as part of the first ever Teacher-Innovator Lecture Series.

(Jan. 12 - Stockton, Calif.) - Two nationally known figures will speak at University of the Pacific during this year’s Black History Month celebration, highlighting a variety of events that will take place throughout the month of February. (Jan. 11 - Stockton, Calif.) – The president and founder of the Global Americana Institute, Juan Cole, will discuss the current situation in the Middle East at University of the Pacific.
