A Learning Community
The core faculty for the courses in this program is composed of many leaders in the field of intercultural communication. You will
also work with 18 different faculty members as you complete the core courses. You
will work with a faculty adviser who is responsible for overseeing your entire program and will serve as a liaison between you and the cooperating institutions. Your
thesis committee is composed of three practicing professionals in the field of intercultural relations. Selecting among a cadre of ICI faculty and other professionals in the field, you will form a committee
comprised of a chair and two members to help and support you during the thesis process as well as during other parts of the program. In order to foster diversity and regular interaction, two faculty members co-teach each course. One faculty member has primary responsibility for the seminar during the residency, and the other is responsible for working with you in completing your assignments. These faculty
members are available to assist you throughout the course. After you complete each assignment, faculty provide extensive feedback about the quality of your work.
