Fun Facts about Graduate School Students
The Master’s degree in
Intercultural Relations is for seasoned and aspiring professionals who wish
to earn an advanced credential in a two-and-a-half to three-year period while
maintaining employment or other commitments. Here are a few fun facts about
students and alums of the MAIR program:

One is of Swedish and Arabic descent, and was
raised in Saudi Arabia.

One is a citizen of Italy, and has also lived
in England and France.

One is the corporate spouse of a petroleum
engineer and has lived in five different countries in the past 15 years,
including Argentina, Australia, and Papua New Guinea

One is a former employee of Pan American
Airways and traveled to 72 different countries over 12 years training
flight attendants and flight service managers

One was a U.S. Navy linguist specializing in
Arabic
-
One emigrated with her family to the U.S. from
Vietnam at the age of six.

One was born in Puerto Rico and has had an
11-year career in language instruction and cross-cultural training in North
America and Europe.

One studied at the University of Copenhagen and
has worked in London.

One worked for five
years at a non-profit Hispanic community service agency
