The world of biotechnology has expanded immensely over the past decade, and it continues to grow at a rapid pace, creating many new opportunities for engineers who have knowledge of the biological sciences including anatomy, organic chemistry, and genetics.

Many challenging opportunities exist in areas such as tissue engineering, gene therapy, medical imaging and informatics, to name a few.
