Welcome to the PharmD/MBA website. It provides information about an exciting educational opportunity. The pharmacy occupation is undergoing transformational change as healthcare evolves. Improved efficiency in the provision of pharmaceutical services will be a primary outcome of this change. Lower costs and better service require innovation and a multidisciplinary orientation. The PharmD/MBA helps provide this background necessary for management and leadership in pharmacy as well as other parts of the health sector. The program integrates professional pharmacy and graduate business education to facilitate quicker and less costly completion of both degrees. We have been developing new courses and opportunities. For example, students have participated in a college bowl sponsored by the American College of Healthcare Executives. The PharmD/MBA is fortunate to have external support for scholarships and a group trip to Washington D.C. In addition, the business school has provided graduate assistantships, which entails research and other assistance to faculty. This program is not for everybody but those who have made the effort have generally been glad they did. Please contact me for additional information.
Sincerely,
