MOVE Mountains, Ocean, Valley Experience is a unique, nationally recognized program designed to welcome new students to Pacific through participation in experiential learning&nbsp;and service projects throughout Northern California. MOVE student participates embark on a series of structured and deliberate adventures that are intentionally designed&nbsp;to prepare them to be successful at the University of the Pacific. <img height="252" src="Images/student-life/MOVE pic 1.jpg" style="float: right; margin: 5px;" width="336" />"MOVE was one of my first experiences at Pacific. I was impressed how the program helped our entering students form close friendships while contributing to one of our University's values: to give back to our community and steward our environment," said University of the Pacific President, Pamela A. Eibeck. &nbsp;<br />The MOVE Program is facilitated by group of volunteer faculty, staff, and student leaders. Together, the volunteers lead new students through a series of common involvements and discussions-including participation in a four-hour community service project. The MOVE Program is a great way for new students to meet fellow students, faculty and staff, and provides every student with the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of California. MOVE has received the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators' (NASPA) Gold Medal for Excellence Award for first year programs.
