<Copy type="dhtml" hidden="false" label="Copy" readonly="false" required="true">Lockheed Martin, Sunnyvale, CA - "Possibly the most notable experience I had working on the GeoEye2 program was being able to accompany the team on a two and a half week long business trip to Denver, CO. The trip was very important for the program as it was the first time that two mission critical devices were scheduled to communicating with each other. The business trip was planned to be able to incorporate them together the facility of the device manufacturers in order to mitigate problems as they occur. My team and I were able to accomplish the goals we set to prove on the trip and saved the program time and money down the road. Even though the trip required many long hours of working overtime it was definitely a worthwhile experience. We were put up in a nice hotel where our flights, lodging, and food were paid for by the company. I will remember it as one of the most memorable parts of my Coop. I was completely satisfied with my experience at Lockheed. I would rank the seven months I worked there as some of the most productive and rewarding months I have had. The people, the program, the intern involvement and some other factors made the coop absolutely worthwhile. My work assignments were directly related to my area of study because software development in systems engineering is closely related to the software portion of the computer engineering curriculum. Additionally, being able to troubleshoot hardware communication problems came from hardware experience at UOP. From my coop experience I learned that I could pursue a career in systems or software engineering." - Brandon Shields, Mechanical Engineering student.</Copy>
