Dr. Susan Shaw (Oregon State) will return to Pacific to help facilitate the workshop. The workshop will be 2.5 days (May 18, 19, and the morning of May 20) and hosted in the CTL. There is a $500 stipend and meals are included. Priority will be given to new or revised courses that will be the first diversity courses in their department or unit. AANAPISI Application Deadline this Friday
Pacific is eligible for the U.S. Department of Education's Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) competitive grants program to improve and expand institutional capacity. The application deadline is this Friday, April 22. One faculty member has inquired about a possible proposal for next year's funding cycle. If you have a proposal idea, please contact me ( While it is likely too late to apply this year, it is certainly not too early to plan for next year.

Diversity Leadership Team (DLT) Update The DLT has concluded sharing their Draft Prioritization Plan at open forums on each campus, and will continue to talk with individuals and groups for the rest of the semester. The DLT then will compile all the feedback received in person or on the Sharepoint site, and make final recommendations to Cabinet in June. Please provide your comments before May 5. The DLT will continue to consult with various governing committees (Academic Council, Staff Advisory Council, ASuop, etc.) about a proposed University Diversity Committee, with representation of students, faculty and staff from all three campuses.  We foresee this conversation continuing into the fall semester.
