Women Faculty Development Conversations
In order to develop programming supportive of all women faculty in all disciplines and phases of their careers, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Berit Gundersen invites you to university-wide conversations about women faculty development programs and the opportunities that would be most helpful at Pacific.

It is important that we collectively identify professional development opportunities to support our women faculty in their careers as their goals change, including support for leadership development. This will help to ensure that the programs we design reflect the particular areas of need and interest at our own institution.

The next conversations will be held December 6 on the San Francisco Campus:

San Francisco Campus
Tuesday, December 6
113 Dorfman Lecture Hall, 1:00-2:00pm

If you would like to participate remotely on any of these dates please contact Ava Hammond ( to coordinate.  If you are unable to attend any of these conversations, or have additional ideas you would like to share please email Vice Provost Gundersen ( or use the Development for Women Faculty Form. Input also may be provided anonymously by sending an email to (the sender information will be de-identified before it is shared).

Please provide input by Wednesday, December 7. The ideas gathered will be summarized and shared. The form for additional input will remain active, and faculty are encouraged to continue to submit their thoughts on an ongoing basis.

An advisory group will be brought together to determine what priorities can be implemented next semester and an approach to determine next steps and begin the planning and implementation process. Anyone interested in participating should contact Berit Gundersen (

We will use the information we gather to develop opportunities for spring 2017 while continuing to work on a comprehensive professional development plan for women faculty to begin in Academic Year 2017-18.
