Reminder - Sakai to be archived July 1, 2016

Reminder: The Pacific community will no longer have access to Sakai after June 30. 

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is sending out a final call to submit requests for migration of materials from Sakai to Canvas. All outstanding migration requests must be received by the end of this week. CTL staff cannot guarantee the completion of migrations requested after Friday, June 17. You can submit migration requests here.

If you would like to migrate your own resources from Sakai to Canvas, you can follow the instructions found at the bottom left of the CTL's Canvas resources tab on the CTL LibGuide. Please contact Senior Instructional Designer Dr. Tara Buñag (tbunag@pacific.edu) if you have any questions about migrating your content to Canvas.

Active, non-academic project sites in Sakai should be migrated to SharePoint. Please use the following resources to get started with your migration and to access training and support:

  • Personal assistance in setting up a SharePoint site and beginning migration is available by contacting helpdesk@pacific.edu or by visiting the SharePoint site request form.
  • Self-guided training and support (including videos and PowerPoint) is available at the SharePoint support site.
  • Pacific Technology has partnered with Assessment, Training and Technology to provide SharePoint training sessions through June in the Pacific Technology offices at 1776 W. March Lane. Finally, on Thursday, June 30, stop by the CTL for refreshments and appetizers as we say goodbye to Sakai and celebrate the completion of the Sakai-to-Canvas course migration project. Over the past year, approximately 1,000 courses have been successfully migrated to Canvas!
