The Brubeck Institute was established by the University of the Pacific in 2000 to honor its distinguished alumni, Dave and Iola Brubeck. The Institute is comprised of five core programs which include the Brubeck Collection, Brubeck Festival, Outreach Program, Brubeck Fellowship Program (currently Pacific Jazz Ambassadors), and the Summer Jazz Colony.

Iola Brubeck Dies at 90

Iola Brubeck, widow and lifelong collaborator of jazz great Dave Brubeck, died earlier this month at her home in Connecticut. The couple met at College of the Pacific. She graduated in 1945; he graduated in 1942.
