Pacific Music Business Camp

June 14-20, 2020 (grades 9-12)

Take the first step toward a career in the music business . . .

For high school students considering a career in the music industry, this intensive week-long camp will provide a real-world orientation covering the keys to success in this competitive industry. Both musicians and non-musicians are welcome and each student will choose one of the study tracks listed below:

  1. Artist Development and Songwriting
  2. Music Producer Introduction
  3. Music Producer Advanced

Students will work with award-winning producers, engineers, songwriters, entertainment attorneys, managers, and social media professionals currently in the industry to teach and mentor students.  Curriculum includes music promotion and marketing, social media, record production and live sound. While morning classes will focus on the fundamentals of music business, students will then break out onto one of the three tracks above for specialized learning. In addition camper creative teams are formed to collaborate on creating new music, which is recorded and debuted at the end of the camp. Every student will have the chance to explore their own creativity and take advantage of the hands on learning opportunities throughout the week.  

Tuition and Fees

Daily Schedule
Sunday - Registration, dorm-check-in, classes begin
Monday-Friday - 8:30am-5pm classes with special events each evening
Saturday - awards presentation for families and friends featuring student recordings made during camp

Unfortunately we are unable to offer any discounts or scholarships for the Music Business Camp.
