Veronica Alzalde Wells is the Information Services Coordinator/Music Librarian at the University of the Pacific.  Veronica coordinates the reference and instruction units and manages copyright compliancy issues.  As the music librarian, she is involved in instruction, collection development, and monitoring the processing and cataloging of music materials. She also serves as the liaison to the Theatre Arts Department.  Her research interests include incorporating emerging technologies into reference and instruction in a meaningful way and assessment of music information literacy instruction. Veronica has been accepted to attend the Association of College and Research Libraries Information Literacy Immersion Program, "Assessment: Demonstrating the Educational Value of the Academic Library," in November 2013.

Veronica received her Bachelors of Arts with an emphasis in Music and Management from Luther College, 2006. She completed her graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison,  2010,  where she earned two Master of Arts degrees in Library & Information Studies and Musicology.  At UW-Madison, Veronica co-founded the Music Library Student Group-an international organization for prospective music librarians.

Veronica Wells is currently the Chair of the Music Library Association-California Chapter. She is also an active member in the Music Library Association, and a member of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
